The tool and data are based on the latest science available upon publication regarding long-term sea level rise trends within the San Francisco Bay. Coastal flood extents use the Adapting to Rising Tides program sea level rise inundation data. Groundwater flood extents for shallow groundwater (depth to water table is less than 6 feet), and emergent groundwater use the (add name of recent Pathways/SFEI project/program/study). Tidal range, surge response, and Bay morphology are assumed to remain stationary as sea level rises. Real world results may also be influenced by discrepancies in available data and underlying conditions relating to groundwater, land subsidence, and sea level rise trends.
